Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates will have 2-6 years of experience working within a CMDB environment and experience in some type of capacity of an Asset Manager.
Candidates will also have the following knowledge/experience and can do the identified work expectations below:
- Experience with establishing, implementing, and maintaining the ServiceNow Discovery module, Integration Hub, import sets, and any other discovery/integrations solutions to populate the CMDB.
- Experience with using multiple discovery sources to populate the CMDB and use of Multisource CMDB features.
- Experience with identification, reconciliation, and data refresh rules as well as the Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE).
- Experience with creating relationships and service mappings including connections, configuration, and dependencies for assets and/or CIs.
- Experience with managing and maintaining a healthy CMDB through completeness, compliance, and correctness metrics.
- Meets with key stakeholders to assess asset status, needs, risks, goals, and progress.
- Works with employees who assist in financial reporting and budgeting.
- Works with the financial team to find outdated devices and look for ways to remedy them.
- Compiles and presents asset management reports to senior executives.
- Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- Mentoring the organization of CM services, concepts, policies, and procedures
- Managing the day-to-day activities of the process, including establishing priorities and work assignments
- Tracking compliance to policies and procedures and resolving or escalating any compliance issues
- Facilitating communication and engaging the business and IT management to encourage CM efforts and value propositions
- Chairing the configuration control board (CCB) and enacting changes as directed
- Providing and approving all requirements, use cases, user stories, etc. to support new or improving CMS functionality
- Reviewing and publishing configuration management reporting
